Taylor Morris missed qualifying for the 2014 Olympic Luge team by .004 of a second. It was less than a second that kept him from making the Olympic team, but that second brought on a wave of discouragement. Taylor felt like he had let everyone down, his family, friends, coaches, and sponsors. Taylor had a defining moment that reshifted his focus, and during the next four years, he told himself that he was a 2018 Olympian. He decided to stop focusing on results but to focus on the process, and his hard work paid off because four years later, he made the Olympic Luge team and competed in South Korea.
